Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join a leading company in radio communications, as a Business Development Manager to develop and implement a sales strategy in the Nordics territory (Sweden, Norway or Denmark). The successful candidate will need a minimum of 5 years' sales experience within the communications equipment industry and be confident in establishing and maintaining relationships to manage sales of the Group's portfolio and achieve agreed financial targets

Main duties:

  • Develop a strong engagement with our End Customers and Channel Partner(s) in the territory to position the company as the primary public safety brand for radio devices
  • To be responsible for selling the Group's portfolio to achieve, or exceed sales targets
  • Establishing peer-to-peer relationships with senior decision makers in the Channel Partner and where appropriate with the end customer organisations
  • Establishing and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • To successfully prospect for new sales business and ensure that the partner is engaged to challenge for this business or identify alternative partner if required
  • Support brand development in partnership with marketing
  • Ensure opportunities are forecasted to ensure financial targets are achieved

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to Degree level with relevant end customer experience

Experience:

  • 5 years minimum sales experience and track record of success in communications equipment, technology sales or customer facing role in providing PMR solutions
  • A demonstrably thorough understanding of the PMR market
  • Understanding of tendering process and developing a win strategy
  • Culturally aware
  • Familiarity of narrow band and broadband technologies

Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of PMR and the public safety market sector
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite of software
  • Able to organise and effectively manage customer meetings
  • Clear communicator
  • Good time management and geographical planning skills
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and work on own initiative and under pressure to meet customer and company deadlines
  • Consultative and creative approach to selling and problem solving
  • Self-motivated in challenging environments
  • Ability to organise, direct and utilize virtual sales teams and resources
  • Must be culturally aware and aware of market and customers
  • Fluency in English
